Software Engineering

Software Development

WITS expertise lies in producing software code from the ground up. This encompasses gathering software requirements, designing software, developing prototypes, and ultimately, delivering a software product(s) that meets our customer's needs. Additionally, WITS software development expertise spans out into providing code augmentation for existing coding projects as well as providing support to develop standalone and web applications when required. Systems Engineering

WITS provides system engineering support that focuses on identifying solutions to complex engineering projects regardless of system size.

Our goal is to produce systems that satisfy the customer's need, increase the probability of system success, reduce risk and reduce total-life-cycle cost. WITS accomplishes this by providing expertise in System Analysis & Design, Requirements Management, Risk Management, Quality Assurance and Verification & Validation.

WITS Systems Engineering expertise spans a system's entire engineering spectrum, from concept exploration to the life cycle of a project. These activities include feasibilities studies, requirements (e.g. customer, end-user, interface, derived, and skill level), design constraints, requirements traceability matrices (e.g. DOORS and Requisite Pro), Concept of Operations (CONOP), risk assessments, architecture designs, peer reviews, and quality audits.

Our team has experience participating in Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) environments that support organizations efforts to achieve CMMI Level 2 and higher. WITS also have led Process Action Teams to help determine best practices for projects and organizations. Lastly, our engineers hold certifications in the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) structure.

Systems Administration

WITS provides customer support through its System Administration services. This includes hardware/software installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and required upgrades. WITS also has in-depth experienced with deploying Operating Systems such as Linux and Windows. We can provide user account management and oversight of MySQL and Oracle databases.

Our VmWare certified staff enables WITS to provide sound and cost-cutting solutions for virtualization efforts which provides benefits in reducing the need for power, space and cooling. With WITS, we can deploy and maintain an entire Virtual Infrastructure for its customers, including the creation and maintenance of Virtual machines that can simultaneously support a plethora of projects the customer may have.
